Spiced Apple Crisp for Four
This classic apple crisp recipe is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg and made into individual mini desserts. A perfect way to serve it at a dinner party.

Apple filling:
- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced (Golden delicious or Ginger Gold)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Crumble topping:
- 2/3 cups rolled oats
- 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
Preheat oven to 375°F and coat four 4 ½ inch (11.5 cm) mini ceramic baking dish with butter or cooking spray and place on baking sheet.
In a large bowl, add the peeled and sliced apples, add the lemon juice and gently toss. Add sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg, and combine with the apples. Distribute equally the apple mixture into each mini baking dish. (about 3 tablespoons each)
In a medium bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and melted butter. Sprinkle over each mini baking dish.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until crisp is golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly on wire rack, and serve with ice cream or whipping cream.
