INGREDIENTS AND SOME TIPS

Peaches: when choosing the types of peaches for grilling, it is important that you consider that the peaches are firm, yet ripe enough so when you cut them in half, and remove the pit, it should pop out easily. You want to buy freestone peaches so you don’t run into this problem. The last thing you want is to be struggling to remove the pits and bruising the peaches. The popular varieties that are freestone are Redhaven, Harson, Starfire, Sunhaven, Harrow Beauty, Loring, Redskin, Glowingstar and Harcrest.

Ice cream: whether you choose vanilla or maple walnut, they both add additional sweetness to this dessert. Vegan plant-base ice cream is optional.

Walnuts: adds some texture and crunch, but also walnuts are one of the healthiest nuts out there, and toasting these nuts or say cashews or pecans would add additional texture and flavour

Maple Syrup:  adds the sweet maple flavour to this dessert. Recommend to purchase good quality maple syrup to really enjoy this pure flavours of maple. Why not substitute with a few drizzles of bourbon?

WHEN IT COMES TO GRILLING PEACHES

It is a very easy process, and only requires a few minutes to have a yummy dessert to impress your family or guest.

Heat the grill to medium to high heat, and once it’s hot, add the sliced peaches. Make sure the pits are removed. Place them cut side down and after 5 minutes, they should be ready with grilled markings. Remove and they are ready to serve with your choice of ice cream.
